The Bangladesh Association of International Recruiting Agencies (BAIRA) is the national apex body representing approximately 2,500 government-approved recruiting agencies engaged in overseas employment from Bangladesh. Established in 1984, BAIRA works in close collaboration with the Government of Bangladesh to promote safe, ethical, and orderly labour migration, protect the interests of migrant workers, and strengthen the overseas recruitment industry.

BAIRA is affiliated with the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI), the country's apex trade organisation. The association facilitates constructive engagement between government, recruiting agencies, overseas employers, and development partners to improve governance, expand labour markets, strengthen industry standards, and enhance the quality of recruitment services.

As the collective voice of Bangladesh's private recruitment sector, BAIRA supports its member agencies by promoting responsible recruitment, improving professional standards, facilitating dialogue with government institutions, expanding overseas labour market opportunities, and contributing to policy development. The association also works to protect the interests of migrant workers and enhance Bangladesh's reputation as a reliable source of skilled human resources in the global labour market.
